Tax Plus is the place to go, without a doubt.  I have been acquainted with Tony for some time and should have enlisted his services years ago, yet foolishly continued to do my taxes myself, thinking a cut-and-dry 1040 or, more often, 1040EZ was right for me.
After not filing for three years due to less-than-ideal financial circumstances, I began to fear the mounting debt I imagined I had.  BUT, Tony was unfazed by what I thought would be a crisis, he reassured me, and commenced to straightening out my affairs.
I definitely could not and would not have done this myself and I’m glad I finally got it taken care of.   When I get rich, I’ll go to Tax Plus for financial wisdomz.  Until then, this is where I go to get my taxes done.

Tony and his team have prepared my taxes for 5 years now. He is efficient, friendly and thorough. He provides year-round advice/service for my home business and personal tax issues. His background as a financial advisor is a plus.

Though I had an appointment with Tony, he was still busy with a couple he was helping .. no problem, because Leticia had time between appointments. She was very patient as I laid out the sources of income for last year – mine wan’t the most straightforward of situations.. and it involved unemployment for some of it, and contracting for others. She helped me see some deductions that I might have missed, and was a pleasure to work with. I will be going back next year to Tax Plus.

Tax Plus is the place to go to get your taxes done! Tony offers great advice, and is really knowledgeable about all the different schedules and forms. The office is beautiful, the staff are incredibly friendly, the price is right, I feel confident that my taxes are done correctly and filed on time! Tony was great! My taxes were uber hairy…like amazon jungle woman hairy. I thought for certain I would have to pay the IRS this year. Tony did better than that, he got me a refund. I couldnt believe it. I was so stoked. And he also offered me advice and gave me tips for getting my business started. I cant recommend him more. GO! :-)

Where would I be without Tony and his staff at Tax Plus? I first started going to Tony about 3 years ago when, after countless years of my own irresponsibility, I had a huge mess and owed the IRS money. I really needed to get everything sorted out and really wanted to start over. There’s nothing quite like the stress that comes from knowing the IRS is after you! The thing about Tony is that he’s so understanding and he isn’t judgmental–at least he doesn’t show it. He helped me dig through my disorganized mess of paper work and got me back on track and off of the IRS’ hit list. Since then, he’s also given me a lot of great tips for staying organized so as to avoid unnecessary stress during tax season. Thank God for Tony and Tax Plus!

For the last three years I have been driving myself crazy just thinking about the money I owe the IRS and the back taxes I had not filed.. so this year I decided I was going to get everything in order and start fresh! I yelped and found Tax Plus called made the appointment and that was by far the best thing I did! Tony and his whole staff are so friendly, they make you fell welcome and right at home.. for me I was embarassed about all my debt with the IRS but Tony gave me the feeling that everything was going to be taken care of!  He has reviwed all of my taxes since 2006 has filed my 2009 and 2010 1099 forms and has helped me get back on track with the IRS!

I am the ultimate procrastinator (this long overdue review is case & point) and therefore consistently find myself with bumbled, half-chewed and spit-out shoebox receipts (if Tony is lucky) at the very end of the tax year.

After years of going to TaxPlus to get my tax returns, I STILL don’t listen to Tony’s extra specialsauce helpful advice about staying organized throughout the year.  Sorry Tony!  But like Jesus, Tony always forgives your sins – patiently and calmly sorting through an entire year’s financial mess and handing over everything to you, (and the government) in a nice, neat TaxPlus folder.

This year however, I paid an extra early visit to his office the last week of 2010.  I was urgently in need of financial advice (upon stumbling on a sizeable bonus, woot woot!), and he took my frantic call and scheduled me for the next day.  After calming the tax demons in my head and spending well over an hour on strategizing my financial plan and potential tax deductions … he didn’t charge me a cent!  Tony makes the fiery hell of tax season feel like fresh baked blueberry muffins on a sunny front porch with your happy-go-lucky grandmomma.

I found myself in dire need of tax help in 2009. I had 5 years of back taxes, including years from a small biz that had eventually sunk me on its 3rd year — a year I actually started to make some dough doing freelance.

I found Tax Plus via Yelp, and they sounded solid enough and I lived in Venice so I gave them a call. Tony struck me as just the right kind of person you want handling your taxes. I was looking at over 14g in back taxes and he made me feel like I made the right choice dealing with it thru Tax Plus.

As it turns out, I did. Due to my poor deduction and lack of filing correctly Tony was able to take my estimated owing and turn it around into a refund I lived off of for 2 months in Europe. So, yeah, I could say I had a good experience there! He will be doing my taxes for years.

After receiving an ominous letter from the IRS I decided it was best to enlist the help of a tax professional / enrolled agent. I ride my bike past Tax Plus everyday on the way to work and checked them out on Yelp. After reading everyone’s rave reviews I decided to give them a call. Leticia was able to see me that day and completed my first bit of work by the next day. I was so happy with the results I went back and re-filed several years tax returns and ended up saving over $10k. I cannot say enough about Leticia and Tony. I plan on using them for all my future accounting / tax work and highly recommend them.

This is the first year my husband and I didn’t use the box tax man (Turbo Tax, etc), and we feel so fortunate to find this place! Tony helped us out with our more-complex-than-usual taxes, what with the new house we bought last year, our new marriage, etc. He made an appointment for us to see him the day after we called. I usually do my own taxes.  Had a friend do them for a couple of years, but she took a job out in North Carolina.  Wanted some advice since we changed employers after 30 years with the same one, wanted to move some assets to our Roth IRAs, and roll over our pensions.  My wife found Tax Plus on Yelp.  With the outstanding recommendations, we decided to give them a try.

Leticia got us set up, then we went in to see Tony.  He spent time getting to know us, our situation, and where we wanted to go financially.  Understand that this is last December.  Tony helped us to understand the tax side of our issues, made some recommendations, and calculated our estimated tax for converting a traditional IRA to a Roth.

Had Tony handle our taxes for 2009, and that went very smoothly.  Well worth what he charged us.  Actually, worth a lot more than what he charged us.

Went back a couple of days ago, to discuss estimated taxes for this year.  Tony took the time to talk through our situation, this year, crunched the numbers, and gave us the 1040-ES and 540-ES vouchers to send in with our estimated taxes.  Outstanding service and care.

Thanks to Paul for his recommendation of Tax Plus, which I followed and I was very pleased. Tony and his sister Marylou were both fantastic to work with and did the best job I could have hoped for. They have friendly personalities and they worked very quickly, even during the busy tax season. I would recommend them to anyone who is willing to pay a couple hundred dollars to make this painful chore significantly less dreadful.

FANTASTIC Place.   Soo much better than going to H&R Block.  Every year we used to use H&R Block and every year by the next tax season we would get a letter stating that the previous preparer “chose to pursue other career options.”  That’s because they aren’t true accountants..!  They are just regular people who sign up to work there for 1 or 2 seasons and then disappear on you..

Plus, this year we bought a house and needed to make sure our tax credit was handled properly and quickly..!  So we found this place (thanks again Yelp..!) and called right away.  We were hoping to get our taxes done yesterday but didn’t think it was going to happen.  It was 3:30 and we had to be somewhere at 6:30.  Well they were able to squeeze us in for 4:30 and didn’t even seem annoyed or upset when traffic made us 30 minutes late.  We had to wait for a previous appointment to complete (barely 10 minutes) while the assistant in the front office gathered our paperwork up for Tony and made some copies.  Tony was SUPER nice and very knowledgeable about everything.  He gave us some great advice on itemizing next year.  He answered all of our questions and seemed genuinely friendly and interested in his clients and their lives.  It was seriously the most stress-free, easiest and quickest tax session I’ve ever had.  (At H&R Block I would have to research beforehand and then explain to THEM what to do with my charity donations and school tuition receipts..!)  But not this place..!  And 1 hour after arriving we were done..!   Until next year =)

Great office – really interesting magazines in the front (like for graphic designers or something – filled with funny and interesting magazine ads), very personable staff, coffee & water station for clients, great decor and just overall a very good experience..! =)

I am so happy that I found this place. I was looking on Yelp for a new tax guy and stumbled upon Tony Navarro and Tax Plus. I could not be more pleased with the service and the easy going nature of the office. Professional, yet it felt like a friend was helping me instead of just some random person I don’t know. Tony went above and beyond and took the time to explain everything to me. I will definitely use him from here on out for all of my tax stuff.

The ominous and sinister date of April 15th can be slightly less ominous and less sinister (and certainly less annoying) by going to see Tony Navarro at Tax Plus in Venice. He is the owner and resident tax preparation expert who, if you come organized and well-documented for deductions, can file your taxes electronically right there in front of you. Of course, for more complex taxes, then he will work with you as long as it takes to file properly.

His staff is friendly and helpful. They offer no attitude. Your net worth and income does not affect their level of service. So whether you’re local millionaire, the trust fund baby, or the up and comer, they’ll take care of you at Tax Plus.

I highly recommend checking out their service, especially when tax season rolls around.

Recommend this place highly. Like all the other reviews Tony has been great. Met with us initially to find out our income sources and explained very clearly how we could best minimize our taxes. Taxes have never been so easy! He even met with us a second time on a Saturday during his lunch hr to go over our taxes in depth!
